British speaker brand KEF has been delighting music lovers for more than 60 years and has transitioned spectacularly well into the digital world. Now the company has announced the launch of its new LSX II LT speakers.

These new speakers are s streamlined version of KEF’s well-regarded LSX II speakers and share the same key technologies but at a lower price point. Despite their compact size, the LSX II LT pump out 100W per channel and are suitable for music, movies and even gaming. Using to KEF’s W2 Wireless platform, listeners can stream music from popular streaming platforms such as Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

The KEF Connect app and Bluetooth receiver extend the options of the LSX II LT even further. When it comes to inputs, the speakers offer HDMI ARC, USB-C and optical connectivity. With these inputs, it’s possible to connect a TV, desktop computer, laptop or even a gaming console. And for those who fancy extra bass, there is also a connection for hooking up KEF’s compact subwoofer.

KEF claims the LSX II LT has been designed to seamlessly integrate into a home and makes browsing and playing music from streaming platforms easy. The app enables the user to play and pause the music and adjust the volume via a smart home app or control interface. The LSX II LT uses a single power cord, with the primary speaker powering the satellite speaker via an interspeaker cable.

The KEF Connect app and EQ DSP (Digital Signal Processing) can be used to adjust the speakers’ sound so the LSX II LT matches the acoustics of the room they are used in. The app walks users through the setup process.

Each LSX II LT speaker incorporates KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver array which disperses sound evenly, ensuring everyone in the room hears the same sound wherever they are seated. KEF says its Music Integrity Engine produces clear, accurate and balanced sound, seamlessly optimized with the Uni-Q driver array for ultimate clarity.

The speakers come with mounting inserts for secure placement on KEF’s P1 desk pad and S1 floor stand, enabling easy integration in a variety of living spaces. The LSX II LT speakers are also compatible with the optional C-Link USB-C PD interspeaker cable. With a length of eight meters, the C-Link cable offers an extra five meters of length over the standard cable offering greater flexibility in the positioning of the speakers.

Mirroring the same contemporary aesthetic created by industrial designer Michael Young on the KEF LSX II, the LSX II LT has a minimalist design and is available in graphite grey, stone white and sage green, three new finishes that were chosen to compliment almost any home interior.

Pricing & Availability: The KEF LSX II LT are available now and priced at $999.99.
