Logitech Reveals New And Compact Wave Keys Ergonomic Keyboard

The ergonomic keyboard is one type of peripheral that seems to have been neglected in recent years. While some costly split designs are available, there’s little choice at the budget end of the market. Now that looks set to change from today with an announcement by keyboard giant Logitech.

Logitech has unveiled Wave Keys, a wireless ergonomic keyboard designed to address wellbeing and comfort at the desk. Wave Keys has a unique wave design and a compact layout that Logitech says makes typing more comfortable. The company announced Wave Keys and a business variant, Wave Keys Business, in a press release issued today. The company claims its new keyboard doesn’t require users to relearn how to type.

This new keyboard is the latest addition to Logitech’s ERGO Series of ergonomic products, including the Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse and several other devices designed to promote well-being at the desk. The ERGO Series also has a stamp of approval from US Ergonomics, an organization specializing in product and workplace ergonomics. Its services include testing, design, risk assessment, program strategy, training and certification.

As many of us spend more of our time working away at our computers, there’s a need for mice and keyboards that provide a better ergonomic design. According to a recently published report by RationalStat, the market for ergonomic peripherals will see a growth rate of 4.6% over the next seven years.

Logitech’s Wave Keys features a unique wave shape that ensures its user’s hands, wrists and forearms are placed in a more natural typing position. A cushioned palm rest offers extra wrist support throughout the working day.

The keyboard also has a compact layout that fits better on smaller home office desks. Previous ergonomic keyboards from Logitech had large footprints, but now that so many of us are working from home on smaller desks, there’s a need for more compact keyboards.

Wave Keys can work with multiple operating systems and connect via Bluetooth or Logitech’s Logi BOLT receiver, which offers enhanced security. The keyboard can connect with up to three devices at the same time. Switching between devices is as easy as pressing a button.

Users can personalize their typing experience with Wave Keys by using the free Logi Options+ software, which provides endless shortcut possibilities and Smart Actions to boost personal productivity.

Designed with environmental and social impacts in mind, Logitech Wave Keys is certified as carbon neutral, like the rest of the company’s products. The raw materials used in the packaging are sourced from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources. The plastic used to manufacture Wave Keys is certified, post-consumer plastic derived from old consumer electronics products.

Pricing & Availability: Logitech Wave Keys will be available in Graphite and Off-White from October 13, 2023, on www.logitech.com and other global retailers with a recommended retail price of $59.99 in North America and €79.99 in Europe. The Rose color will be available in select markets from Spring 2024.
