Fetching Online Profile Bug Has Broken ‘Call Of Duty’ After Season 5 Reloaded Update

The Season 5 Reloaded update for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone has added a bunch of content, and rebalanced many of the game’s weapons.

Unfortunately, for many players accessing this new content and testing out the weapon changes is currently impossible thanks to an exciting new feature: The infinite ‘Fetching Online Profile’ menu loop!

Okay, it’s less of a feature and more of a bug, but it’s making it impossible for many players—including myself and some of my squad-mates—to play the game after the Season 5 Reloaded update.

We were able to login to Warzone and play a match of the new Armored Royale mode, but all Modern Warfare II content was inaccessible. I know some players are unable to access Warzone also, whereas others are able to get into Modern Warfare II.

It’s unclear how widespread this is at the moment, but numerous posts on social media and reddit indicate that it’s a pretty big deal. I’ve seen both PC and PS5 players discuss this, but I’m uncertain yet if Xbox is also effected. Activision is aware of the issue, but I haven’t heard anything more specific than this tweet:

This is an especially frustrating bug given the size of the update in question, which was over 50gb depending on your platform (one of my teammates sent me a screenshot showing a 138gb update for his game on Xbox).

In any case, I’ll update if I hear more. In the meantime, consider playing some other games like Counter-Strike or Valorant or Overwatch 2.

Are you getting this error after the update? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook or in the comments to the above video.
